In summer there are boat trips to the Summer Isles and around Loch Broom where you will often see wildlife including seals, dolphins and seabirds. You can also arrange to go on fishing and scuba diving trips from Ullapool.
Ullapool is surrounded by outstanding scenery, to the south is An Teallach and Fisherfield with the small crofting communities of Dundonnell, Camusnagaul, Laide, Aultbea and Poolewe. The area has many beautiful beaches where kids will love playing in the sand and swimming, and for the adventurous their are hill walking and mountain biking through unspoilt hills and mountains. Further down is the community of Gairloch where you can arrange for trekking or trips over to Skye.
From Ullapool you can book boat trips to explore the coastal areas. Trips are available to visit the Summer Isles, day trips to Skye and longer trips to the Outer Hebrides. Trips are available during the summer months but are best booked in advance to avoid disappointment.
