Redpoint beach is one of Scotland's more remote beaches as it is at the end of a single track road from Sheildaig, near Gairloch. The location is definitely worth visiting for the views over to Skye and the beauty of the surrounding countryside. Take a picnic and make a day of it, dogs are welcome on the beach. Please keep dogs on a lead near livestock (sheep and cattle). It is off the North Coast 500 tourist route by several miles, it should be on your bucket list when visiting the Scottish Highlands around Gairloch and Wester Ross.
From Redpoint you can also walk over a track to the old Fishing Station near the second beach at Redpoint.
