Firemore beach has a wild remote feel to it, with its location on Loch Ewe with views over towards the Isle of Ewe and Mellon Charles. Known and loved for many years by people who love wild camping this beach area can be used for campervans and camping for a small daily / weekly donation of £2 a day (this information may not be up-to-date), the location does not have any toilets or facilities so you need to bring your own. The beach is dog friendly.
The area around Firemore is relatively flat with moorland and heather, sparse croft land with sheep and occasionally cattle roaming freely. Being close to Poolewe for supplies this area is a good place for a family holiday and if you wild camp can be cheap. The road is single track with passing places, if touring with a caravan you do need to be reasonably skilled at reversing. If you go to the end of the road beyond Cove you will find an interesting and rugged coastline.
