Visit the Scottish Highlands

Scotland in Summer is well known for it's rain and midgies, well this page was created during Christmas 2004 and it kind of sums up what "some" summers in Scotland can be like. However if you look through our website you will see that Scotland also has wonderful weather. It is worth remembering that when you visit Scotland you can sometimes experience three seasons in one day (rain, hail and snow and a heatwave) so it is worth coming prepared for all weathers. If you are visiting Scotland from the States remember to bring warm clothing as well as light summer clothes in the Summer as it can well be cold due to the winds coming off our coastal areas.

I hope this has not put you off visiting Scotland as we believe we have the most beautiful country and when you visit our ancient castles and trek through our wilderness areas you will not be concerned about the odd bit of rain and wind, it just adds to the atmosphere. If you visit us at Camusnagaul you will get a warm welcome and remember to drop into our Tea Room and Craft Shop - called Maggie's Tea Room, a name based on the tea room that was around in the 50's run by a lady called Maggie.

We hope you also enjoyed our webmasters sence of humour, personally we don't think he has any, but we have to humour the poor lad! He just tries to keep putting people off coming to Camusnagaul on holiday as he wants to get the caravan cheap!

Welcome to Scotland and don't say we did not tell you to bring the waterproof and wellies!
