Scotland's - Scottish Highlands Wild Goats

Our Scottish Highlands home page

Scotland is the land of wildlife including eagles, foxes, otters and birdlife in abundance. It is also the land of wild goats and near to Camusnagaul there are many wild Scottish Goats, they are extremely clever and just fantastic to watch.

The photographs on this page were taken in the spring of 2005 and while the goats are not always that "visible" in the summer they are there to find especially if you take a small trek up some of our many nearby mountains.

Below are a few more websites with pictures of Scottish Wildlife that you may enjoy.

The area around Wester Ross is famous for the wildlife and beautiful scenery. Often in the autumn and winter you can see more wildlife as there is less traffic to disturb them. Watching any animal is wonderful and wild goats are one of these "wild" animals I love to watch for hours.

Wild Goats near Camusnagaul in Wester Ross

Wildlife in Scotland is not just eagles, dolphins, whales and otters, although you can see them all near to Camusnagaul. Creag Ard Charters can take out small groups on wildlife trips around the Summer Isles and Gruinard (weather permitting).

These photographs were taken using a telepho lens from the other site of the main road between Camusnagaul and Dundonnell, I was within about 20 metres from the goats, with snow falling down around my freezing arms as I had forgotten to put on my jacket in my haste to walk back from the car to take the photographs of the goats.
