Microsoft Windows Desktop Item
The www.camusnagaul.com Monthly Day Calendar

This desktop item can be kept in sync with the copy on our server at www.camusnagaul.com by using the Set as Desktop item... when you select it to download (do this by right clicking on the picture with your mouse from the FreeStuff area of the www.camusnagaul.com website).

This will set the picture as a desktop item on your computer screen. You can select and move this item around the computer desktop. The picture has been designed for 17" monitors set to a resolution of 1024 x 768 or greater.

You can bring in a number of desktop items onto a fairly powerful Microsoft Windows desktop computer, and this is illustrated in the screen shot below. I have to apologise to Apple Mac users - I am not sure how to do this on a Mac, I will try and find out.

You could have a Year Desktop Planner from www.camusnagaul.com on your screen as well as a Synchronized Month one - we will update the month calendar every month with new pictures and a personal message from Camusnagaul.

We will also provide information on local events you may want to see, special offers available online and accommodation availability.

To Synchronize the picture between your computer and our copy of the picture file on our server all you need to do it tell it to Synchronize on the first day of every month.

To do this manually is easy; simply move your mouse to the top of the picture and a grey or coloured bar should appear (if it is a desktop item). Click once on the little down facing arrow and then select Synchronize. You will need to be connected to the Internet for this to work.

1. Click on the schedule tab

2. Click on Using the following schedule(s) radio button and then the Edit button.

3. Select the Schedule menu tab.

To make this work automatically you can use the Microsoft Windows scheduler (Window 2000/XP/2003). To do this with the Month Calendar select the Properties from the menu list and follow the instructions below.

After selecting Properties the dialog box should appear.

4. Set the Schedule to run on a Monthly basis at the time you would normally be using the internet.

5. Click on the Day radio button and make sure it is set to 1 (1st of the month).

6. Click OK and then the Apply buttons.

This will tell your Windows 2000/XP computer to check for updated "MonthDesktopCalendar.jpg" file on our www.camusnagaul.com server on the first day of each calendar month and download it to your own computer.

To make it check every day for changes then simply set the Schedule for the computer to check every day.

Please remember us folks are in Scotland and this may well be in a slightly different time zone from yourself, so please don't miss a meeting, an anniversary or anything else due to this. We will put the next months Day Calendar up on our site on the last day of our month.

We hope you like the FreeStuff ~ its my creative feminine side coming out - although my wife would not agree with that statement, she just calls it "BlatentMarketing" and a quick way to make sure I don't have time to do anything around the house. She obviously does not understand the gentle, artistic, caring side of my personality ~ its not that I am sciving off housework and washing the dishes.
